With PK-Sim® it is possible to simulate the pharmacokinetics for different species of mammals after a single or multiple intravenous or oral drug administration. It is used to describe the fate of xenobiotics --particularly of pharmaceutical substances – in the body based on a mathematical description of the determining physical and physiological processes. This method gives a description of the pharmacokinetic behavior but is mainly used as a predictive tool.
