English sports promoter Eddie Hearn announced that British boxers Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have agreed to compete on four heavy championship belts.
“We are now in the process of settling the terms of the deal and we are in a good position to close it,” said Eddie Hearn. The promoter added that the battle will take place in the summer. He also indicated that both boxers want to face each other twice this year. The second match will be held in December.
Saudi Arabia, the United States, China, Qatar, Singapore, Dubai and the United Kingdom are competing to host this battle.
“That’s it,” Hearn said. “Everyone wants this battle as quickly as possible.”
“There will be a summer fight for the undisputed heavyweight championship. This is what you get. They both want two games this year. One in the summer and one in December.”
Boxers will hold WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF belts and the “The Ring” title in the heavyweight category.
