Another boom in cryptocurrencies caused interest in GeForce RTX 3000 graphics cards to peak and many players failed to get the desired model (apart from massive availability issues caused by a shortage of chips and other components). NVIDIA decided to fight the Ethereum mining performance block, which was included on the last card released – GeForce RTX 3060. However, it was quickly “broken” – first inadvertently by the Greens themselves, who launched the driver version with the blockade removed. But even without it, creative “miners” found two ways to bypass this, prompting NVIDIA to release RTX 3060 with an improved core that makes the card more secure against cryptocurrency miners.
According to unofficial reports, NVIDIA intends to release revised reviews of chips with improved performance lock in cryptocurrency mining for all GeForce RTX 3000 Series models (RTX 3060 pattern).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 will receive a new GA106-302 core that will add more cryptocurrency mining locks
According to unofficial reports, sourced from kopite7kimi authorized detective and the Igor LAB portal, NVIDIA intends to follow a similar path for the entire RTX 3000 Series. You are also expected to see other improved reviews, with stronger safeguards against cryptocurrency miners. Along with the RTX 3060, which will receive an updated GA106-302 chip with new firmware and PCI ID. According to kopite7kimiego GA102 and GA104 they will also be corrected and issued with Note 302/202. Below is a list of current chips (left) and what the new chips should look like (right). According to VideoCardz sources, updated reviews of GeForce RTX 3000 graphics cards released starting in May are expected.
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 – GA102-300-A1 -> GA102-302-A1
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 – GA102-200-A1 -> GA102-202-A1
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 – GA104-300-A1 -> GA104-302-A1
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti – GA104-200-A1 -> GA104-202-A1
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 – GA106-300-A1 -> GA106-302-A1
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3000 is the largest GPU render in the company’s history. Ampere beat Turing’s sales twice
The initial batch of GeForce RTX 3080 Ti scheduled for the middle of next month, based on the GA102-225-A1 core, had outdated security features, but according to Igor Lab, which cites three sources in vendors and suppliers, revised GPU reviews are in production. Huge and do not cooperate with the released drivers. Apparently, they are already shipped to NVIDIA partners, who are required to update all pre-qualified systems for a newer review. NVIDIA has also reportedly invented a method for users who want to flash an older version of BIOS in their GeForce RTX 3080 Ti – this should be possible, but then it will translate into a black screen, which is caused by a different device’s ID. This makes it difficult to break the security in the enhanced lock.
