Take back our land! Webinar for young people

We encourage students in grades seven and eight of elementary schools and high school students to participate in a free webinar marking World Earth Day. The event will take place on Thursday April 22 at 12:00 pm. Prepared by the Ministry of Climate and Environment. The webinar will bring together lecture and workshop elements showcasing good practices for climate protection.

Climate lessons

On Thursday, April 22 this year. There will be another online meeting on climate protection. It targets students in grades 7-8 of elementary schools and high school students. On the page Climate lessons Lectures and workshops will be published, which can be a starting point for the classroom climate debate. Participation in the webinar is free of charge and does not require registration.

The webinar program has been divided into two blocks:

Lectures:

  • “Earth’s climate system, what is the carbon cycle and how does the greenhouse effect work?” Lecture by Dr. Alexandra Cardash (University of Warsaw);
  • “What can I do for the climate?” Lecture by Dr. Magdalena Budziszewska (UW).

Practical workshops:

  • Cooking workshop with Jagna Niedzielska, focusing on the food waste problem;
  • The “Clothing” workshop with Katarzyna Wolszczak focused on responsible sustainable fashion issues.

The webinar will be available on the site Until June this year. Thanks to this, everyone will be able to read the material at a time of their choosing.
